SERD was established in 2002 and registered under Karnataka registration act 1960 is situated in Shirol, Gadag District. SERD works in field of education along with health and hygiene. The organization also focuses its activities around organizing self employment opportunity for women. SERD promotes sustainability by contributing significantly towards resolving environmental concerns. There are more than 2500 beneficiaries who have benefited from the programs of this NGO.
Our organization envisions strong, independent villages which are enabled with basic facilities and necessary opportunities to empower villagers.
To encourage the rural women to be independent by promoting awareness about self employment and livelihood opportunities. SERD's mission is also to educate the society about socio-economic happenings in the country.
Corona Relief Fund
Sahabalve NGO and SERD distributed Rs.5000 in cash towards Covid-19 relief fund senior citizens in Gadag district. About 20 people benefited from this program.
In collaboration with Sri Channabasaveshwara Educational Society SERD inducted a program for school children in Bilur Village, Kittur Taluk Belgaum District. A Program about awareness about birds and their importance in the Environment was organized. Resource person Sri Prakash Gowdar and President of NGO Sri Chidambara Nimbargi were present in the program. About 400 school children participated in the program.
Awareness for Women and Mother's Day
Women awareness camp was conducted to help underprivileged women understand about their rights regarding Health and Hygiene, Education etc . A cultural program was held on Mother's day where these women participated.
